Boomerang Bag Day August 7
Ages: 10+
Come out and get creative with HoWL as we team up with the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies! We will be making eco-friendly reusable shopping bags to distribute around the local stores.
HoWL DiRtBaG Service Days are an opportunity to have fun with peers and HoWL guides as we give back to the Kachemak Bay and our Homer community. These community service and stewardship based outings are low cost, but must be signed up for in advance, as space is limited. These trips foster a sense of responsibility, hard work, and stewardship. Additionally, these trips provide youth an opportunity to gain work experience, practice critical thinking and problem solving, get training in trail maintenance and basic building and learn many other important skills.
Please note your Client Responsibilities: 1) all clients will be required to follow the safety policies and procedures of HOWL and the guides’ instructions during activities. 2) All clients (and parents) will be required to sign a Participant Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement in favor HOWL before departing on any trip; and 3) each client (and their parents) agree and acknowledge when they sign up for HOWL activities that they have significant responsibilities for their own safety and they agree they are ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety during participation in HOWL activities.
