Fall Forts-Oct. 24
Wednesday October 24 (Early release day)
1pm-5pm
Ages: 8-12
On our Fall Forts trip series, we will be building various kinds of shelters using the materials around us. Each trip will be a different location or a different building process. Some of these shelters will take more than one day to complete with the goal of utilizing them on our overnight expeditions! In our spare time we'll learn about animal tracking, plant identification, cold weather safety and as always, have loads of fun!
Please pack a lunch and dress weather appropriate.
As on all HoWL trips, health, safety, teamwork and leadership development and fun are key elements to the success of the trip. Lessons on all of the above will enrich the outing during teachable moments. HoWL instructors of course have all the experience they need to keep everyone safe.
DiRtBaG scholarship funds are available for this expedition. Please refer to our SCHOLARSHIPS page for more information.
Please note your Client Responsibilities: 1) all clients will be required to follow the safety policies and procedures of HOWL and the guides’ instructions during activities. 2) All clients (and parents) will be required to sign a Participant Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement in favor HOWL before departing on any trip; and 3) each client (and their parents) agree and acknowledge when they sign up for HOWL activities that they have significant responsibilities for their own safety and they agree they are ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety during participation in HOWL activities.
