Tracks and Trails- Dec. 8
Saturday, December 8
12pm-4pm
Ages: 8-14
Whether you are a hard-core hunter, a hiker or a naturalist, it is important to understand what is around you in the woods! This series of day trips is dedicated to developing understanding of animal movement and habits. We will be learning how to track animals, read signs, and understand elements of habitat and habitat use. We will practice getting close and staying safe while doing it! We will even do some stalking with cameras to see if we can get that great wilderness wildlife shot!
Please pack a lunch and dress weather appropriate.
As on all HoWL trips, health, safety, teamwork and leadership development and fun are key elements to the success of the trip. Lessons on all of the above will enrich the outing during teachable moments. HoWL instructors of course have all the experience they need to keep everyone safe.
DiRtBaG scholarship funds are available for this expedition. Please refer to our SCHOLARSHIPS page for more information.
