Snow Forts and Winter Shelters- Dec. 1
Saturday, December 1
12pm-4pm
Ages: 8-14
On our Snow Forts and Winter Shelters trips, we will be building various kinds of shelters using snow and the materials around us. Its tons of fun but hard work. It is important to layer your clothing so you don’t get too hot! When we are done you can head home and make a snow palace in your own yard! These forts will be used as capture the flag bases, and snow shelters/ gear rooms on our cold weather campouts.
Please pack a lunch and dress weather appropriate.
As on all HoWL trips, health, safety, teamwork and leadership development and fun are key elements to the success of the trip. Lessons on all of the above will enrich the outing during teachable moments. HoWL instructors of course have all the experience they need to keep everyone safe.
DiRtBaG scholarship funds are available for this expedition. Please refer to our SCHOLARSHIPS page for more information.
