Capture The Flag Campout! June 5-7
Ages 10-15
HoWL will be kicking off the summer with an epic 3 day Capture The Flag Camp-out. Imagine running, jumping, ducking, dodging and sneaking up to the opposing force base, snatching that flag and sprinting back to your side to embrace the glory of victory! We will play many games of capture the flag during this 3 day adventure in the wild Alaskan backcountry, all while learning important leadership and survival skills. Shelter building skills will provide us useful bases, knots and lashing skills will help us build camp tools and furniture, and pocket knife skills will help us prepare dinner and roasting sticks. Come out and have a blast. Make new friends. Learn valuable skills. Join us on this epic capture the flag adventure!
This outing will take place on Ohlson Mountain.
As on all HoWL trips, health, safety, teamwork and leadership development and fun are key elements to the success of the trip. Lessons on all of the above will enrich the expedition during teachable moments. HoWL instructors have all the experience they need to keep everyone safe and having fun!
Please note your Client Responsibilities: 1) all clients will be required to follow the safety policies and procedures of HOWL and the guides’ instructions during activities. 2) All clients (and parents) will be required to sign a Participant Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement in favor HOWL before departing on any trip; and 3) each client (and their parents) agree and acknowledge when they sign up for HOWL activities that they have significant responsibilities for their own safety and they agree they are ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety during participation in HOWL activities.
